Meet the Team
The Cat
(AKA Katrina Spreyer)
Katrina co-founded Cat & Hutch as she loves working with children in a creative way, acting and discovering new books.
She studied English and Drama at Royal Holloway, University of London where she trained in physical and dance theatre. She went on to train in Shakespeare at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Since then Katrina has developed her skills in puppetry and acting with companies including Polka Theatre, Theatre Exchange and Young Shakespeare Company.
Katrina's favourite book as a child was 'The Butterfly Lion' by Michael Morpurgo and her favourite authors were Jacqueline Wilson and Roald Dahl.
The Hutch
(AKA Rebecca Hutchins)
Rebecca co-founded Cat & Hutch because she loves reading, adapting stories and creating new ones, which she's done since she was a child.
She studied Performing Arts at Kingston College and then went on to graduate from De Montfort University with a BA in Drama with a focus on Popular Theatre. She then went on to train in Shakespeare at Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.
Since then, Rebecca has continued to develop her performance and storytelling skills working with a range of companies such as Hackney Pirates and Bigfoot Arts and trains the guides for Family Tours at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre.
Rebecca's favourite books as a child were all of the Harry Potter books and anything to do with being a detective and her favourite authors were JK Rowling, Philip Pullman and Jacqueline Wilson.
